Shri Trilok Singh Bisth was conferred with the first N. K. Joshi Wildlife Preservation Award on Tuesday, 21 December 2021 by Chandi Prasad Bhatt Centre for Environment and Development – CPBCED in Haldwani Uttarakhand.
Deputy Ranger Trilok Singh Bisth was felicitated to honour his remarkable work in preservation work in Nanda Devi National Park, Valley of Flowers National Park, Kedarnath Musk Deer Sanctuary and Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve.
Smt. Asha Devi, wife of Late Shri N. K. Joshi conferred the Award to Bisth. Sh. Om Prakash Bhatt Managing Trustee CPBCED, Sh. B. D. Singh CEO Badri Kedar Mandir Samity and Head of the N. K. Joshi Award committee, Prof Shekhar Pathak, Mangla Kothiyal trustee, I. D. Pandey Former P.C.C.F., I P Singh Director FTI and Sh. Vinay Semwal among others.
N. K. Joshi Wildlife Preservation Award has been established by CPBCED to honour outstanding work in the field of wildlife preservation by individuals/organizations. It is named in remembrance of Late Sh. Nirmal Kumar Joshi, one of the first officers of Indian Forest Service, who did exceptional work in forest conversation and policy making.
